Miss Penelope finished her first year of preschool this morning!! I though for sure her first week I would die of a broken heart going 2 1/2 hours without my Penelope. Here I am, alive and well, and ready for a fun Penelope-packed summer!!

I am so proud of my not-so-little-anymore lady. She didn’t show even the slightest hesitation this morning, and wasn’t too excited (the life raft for my emotions adrift at sea). She treated going to preschool as a thing almost-four-year-olds do, like dressing yourself or brushing your teeth right after you wake up. You just do.

New boots for a rainy first day of school? Check.
Fresh braids fit for a preschool princess? Check.
After our photo shoot the girls spent a good 20 minutes shaking the wind chime and playing “CATCH THE CAT!!”
Poor Black Beauty.
