SOCCER NIGHT

_MG_7133

Tuesday evening we headed over to the high school for my first boys  soccer game. The girls (well, all of us) had so much fun.

Of course the girls arrived ‘glammed to the nines.’

Bleachers worked wonders entertaining the girls!

They had just laid fresh gravel on the walk up to the field – large and small gravel! Happy happy happy happy girls. How do you choose just one to bring home?

The girls stopped whatever they happened to be doing and clapped every time everyone else clapped.

Even if it was the other team clapping… :)

It cooled down just in time for the game to start! Rain clouds hovered and a soft breeze kept us smiling. It was the perfect night to attend an outdoor game!

POPSICLES AND BASEBALL

^ Hey Mama, get my good side!  ^

Zack didn’t have class Wednesday afternoon! He was able to enjoy afternoon snack time with us. Our friend, Katherine, came to visit earlier in the day and brought yummy popsicles for the girls – so of course we ate ‘em!

Maple is a not-so-sneaky puppy. She tries, but she’s kind of a oaf…the girls are on to her.

Stud. He takes such good care of things around here, including his ladies.

Penelope gave me some freshly picked pine needles, “for my collection.”

We feed her daily, honestly. She still found the need to eat a twig right in front of us, as if to imply differently. She even looked as though it was not so appetizing.

The birds were circling our house the whole time. I can’t get enough of this place.

We impulsively decided to head over to the high school baseball game after the girl’s snack. I think this will become a regular happening for us, but next time I will bring stuff to entertain the girls!

The girls really enjoyed it! Something new. My girls love to go, explore, learn, games, the warmth of the sun, and wide open spaces – I think this was just what they needed. What we needed.

THANKSGIVING DAY

_MG_1992

Family, great food, football, and a road trip. We have a lot to be thankful for! Hope everyone else’s Thanksgiving was spent with loved ones. I’ll leave you with (quite a few) photos. ;)

Grandpa and Penelope, best “fwends”.

Games, games, and more games – my kind of day.

My grandpa (“Step-grandpa” if we’re getting technical) received a lovely surprise Thanksgiving morning. Two of his grandsons, who live in Atlanta, stopped by for about an hour. I’m sure he enjoyed a break from the much louder Wilkinsons. No doubt they are related!!

Penelope and Coop. Second cousins, yet they could easily pass for brother and sister.

Parker looks exactly like his Daddy, yet somehow manages to resemble Miss Mia. They make the same “tough” face. :)

What is it about Little girls and their great-grandmas? So so sweet.

What's cooler to a four year old boy than a real life giant?

Nothin’.
