It was a hot Tuesday afternoon and free ice cream was on our to-do list, so we extended the trip to time at the river. Penelope had been begging to go to the pool since our visit to the indoor one a few days back. We settled for rain boots at the river because, honestly, it’s a lot less work.
Her boots were filled with sand and water, but her face was covered in a smile! She enjoys water and dirt just as much as dress up and lip stick. A special girl.
The only way we could get her to leave without being sad about it was to have her choose five rocks to bring home for bath time. (We cleaned them first) We’ll have to go again soon, hopefully with the Bumbo for Amelia, she’s getting heavy…
This was a proper send off to April, I think. Happy May!!
