This week has been a good one.A really good one. The kind of week where you complete seven loads of laundry, get the shower curtain liner cleaned, that room that has been bothering you finally gets organized, and the type of week that contains warm suppers eaten by candle light.
The week where instead of swapping toys you just combine every single toy your children own and your living room explodes.
KA-BOOM.
A week where you finally get the gallery wall started.
A week full of chases and giggles.
Chasing is their favorite game. They chase each other around and around and around. It is the funniest thing I have ever witnessed them doing. They love being chased and caught and chased again.
Penelope screams when you catch her. ( because Mama’s going to tickle that child and she knows it! )
Amelia belly laughs and takes off for round 547.
The kind of week where your child has a new favorite book, so you read it, and only it, each night.
A week where that same child has a new favorite doll and she takes it everywhere.
I don’t have the heart to tell her it is Amelia’s.
We braved the bees on our deck one afternoon. Amelia brought her toothbrush and Penelope brought her favorite book.
Amelia’s toothbrush is one of those things that you need a crowbar to remove from her hands.
(Other items that require such force include any type of food, and small toy cars)
Amelia has been pulling up to walk alongside me as opposed to crawling everywhere. I believe she is on the verge of walking. Finally, after five months of teasing us.
Our time on the porch ended when a bee landed on my shirt. The words, “RUN! RUN! RUN!” may have been shouted at an unnecessary volume. They are ridiculously slow and wouldn’t sting me, but…ick.
It has been a gooood week!!!
