Thankful

Zack and I are taking full advantage of having a 5 day weekend together with our girls. It’s wonderful! Today we got our house back in order, took some leisurely time to read during Penelope’s nap, got some last minute hodge-podge shopping done (our first outing with our girls!) and now we are enjoying the first of the seven Harry Potter movies, all of which we fully intend on finishing as the weekend continues while we snuggle with our ladies.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow and over the past few weeks I have been constantly overwhelmed with a thankful heart. I am thankful for the obvious things, such as my daughters and my beautiful husband. For food, shelter, a working vehicle, being alive (as I could easy not be, based on last weekend), and clothing on all of backs.
In the past few weeks I have really been noticing details I easily look over. Toys, markers, and books and movies that spark Penelope’s creativity, the over-flow of love constantly shown to my family my our friends and family on a daily basis, all of our technological items that allow us to document and share our lives, and my husbands job and all of the wonderful things that came into alignment along with it (our apartment, our great town, etc.).

In the holiday spirit we are in quite a crafty mood! We stocked up on yard for knitting, and will be doing several crafts with Penelope during the next four days. My Dad is finally going to be able to meet Amelia this weekend as well! She has yet to enjoy Grandpa time.
Also, Friday, CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS WILL BE HUNG!!! BAKING! HOLIDAY MUSIC! MOVIES! GREAT FOOD! I am so excited!
