4 months

Miss Amelia (the Rae in Mae and Rae) is a whopping four months old tomorrow. That feels about right to me. Sometimes you stop to think about how quickly your children grow. For me it feels like it has been four months. A wonderful, perfectly beautiful four months.

Before we became pregnant with A, I often wondered how parents possibly have room for more love, after having their first child, for a second? Do they really love their kids equally? (Being the middle child, I often felt / / feel as though I am at the bottom of the totem pole of life – begin playing tiny violins…now.)

I really really love Penelope. Once I think my heart jar can’t get anymore full my kids do something to make it overflow with joy. That being said, I don’t know why I ever had doubt in my mind. This.girl.is.awesome. She makes me oh so happy.

In the past month Amelia has : : :

Begun jabbering as her main source of communication. (Loving it!)

Drooling like a Saint Bernard (Loving it less.)

Begun a steady routine of crunches in 15 minute increments [She is really just determined to grab her feet :) ]

She is now roughly 20 pounds light. (At home method of weighing her)

She began eating cereal with a spoon today – without doctor’s orders. Girl be hungry!

She can roll over back-to-front and front-to-back, and scoot a good distance.

She is a champ at sitting up, with the support of a Bumbo seat or the safety net of Mama’s hands.

She is such a pleasant child. Oh, and sweet, lovely, awesome, and has some choice dance moves! Givin’ Miss P a run for her money…

Speaking of Penelope, she is 2 years and 5 months old today! Hooray!

How many of you like ham? Penelope just delivered a truck load of it! Here you go : : :

(You’re welcome in advance)

  2. We seem to have an endless supply of rolls, and we get a new shipment of ham everyday, so we'll be sure to bring it with us when we visit!
